CindySaalbachpicThe world lost a beautiful soul yesterday. Cindy graced us with her ever-optimistic attitude and uncanny ability to find the good in every situation and in every one of us. Cindy came to LightHouse in the winter of 2003.  She was a masters prepared nurse, educator, and highly skilled clinician.  All of that, and she loved home health, too.  We always knew how lucky we were to have her.

Cindy taught new nurses, coached clinicians in the field, and performed the company orientation for all new employees.  She challenged us all to be better leaders, better clinicians, and better people.  As the team leader of the Quality Review Team, Cindy worked to achieve some of the highest performance benchmarks in our industry.  A great multi-tasker she was.  Able to get to the heart of the matter very quickly, she inspired us with her gifts of organization and industriousness.  Cindy told us once when we borrowed her label maker: “If you stand still too long in my house, I put a label on you.”  She kept us laughing, and moving, for sure.

Cindy’s life and Cindy’s joys spilled out to us when she came to work. Through her enthusiastic and endearing stories, we feel like we know Cindy’s two beautiful and successful daughters, Katie, and Becca, and her husband and true love, Bill. Many of us do. We send them our love and support, and deepest condolences.

Cindy is part of who we are and how we came to be at LightHouse. She is part of our mission, part of our light.  Let your light shine on Cindy.  We will miss you so.
