Creator of Maternity Concierge Service in Washington DC Will Oversee Growing Private Duty Division

 

SPRINGFIELD, Virginia— January 17, 2014LightHouse Healthcare, Inc, leading provider of home health care, personal care and dementia care at home, has named Rachel Macias as its new Director of Private Duty Services.

 

Ms. Macias, who founded DC Baby Planners, will be in charge of managing and increasing personal care and other services to help seniors stay in their homes longer.

Before joining LightHouse, Ms. Macias was a successful entrepreneur, creating one of the first maternity concierge services for the Washington metro region.  Prior to that, she worked as an administrative officer for the Medicare Payment Advisory Commission. Previously, she held roles at the National Cable & Communications Association and its education nonprofit, Cable in the Classroom.  While associated with the Junior League of Annapolis, Ms. Macias was awarded the prestigious President’s “Just Do It” award for outstanding service and the Janus Award for extraordinary actions that served to sustain the Junior League in the future.

Ms. Macias studied Political Science at the University of Southern Maine. She and her husband, Paul, live in Springfield, VA with their three sons.
